Edumed is run by a board of volunteers which comprise a Board of Trustees and an Executive Board. The day -to -day operations are overseen by the Executive Board while Board of Trustees acts as the Trust pillar, setting policies and guidelines that regulate the trust. In total, the Board of Trustees has 7 members while Executive Board has 7 members.
One of the amazing characteristics of Edumed board members is the wide range expertise brought by its members.
Board of Trustees Members
Chairman – Mr. George Macgoye
Mr.Macgoye has been an active partner over the last ten years, supporting Edumed financially and in kind. He has served on the board for over ten years. Mr. Macgoye is a former Senior Deputy Commissioner of Prisons- Kenya. He took over the Edumed Chairmanship from 1st January 2010 from Rev. Martin Mbandu who left to pursue mission work in Malawi.
Secretary – Charles Njoroge
Charles Njoroge has served as Edumed Trust's Executive Board chairman. Mr Njoroge brings in timely experience in the field of finance which cannot be overemphasized in an organization of Edumed's nature.
Treasurer- Mr. Henry Rugendo
Mr. Rugendo is a co-founder of Edumed Trust and has supported the vision since inception. He has worked with various organizations. He is in Presbyterian Church of East Africa's -Kibiko Parish leadership. He is very instrumental in the building up of the Trust. Mr. Rugendo is a Technical Director in Comac Ltd.
Janet Mwenda (Mrs)
Janet Mwenda a long-serving member and active partner. Janet's commitment to support the vision and mission has always been a great encouragement.
Dr. Solomon Mwangi
Dr. Mwangi has indeed been a source of inspiration to many. He is the founder of Edumed Trust as a Christian; Solomon a firm believer in practical Christianity, felt he had an obligation to respond to the plight of bright, needy students. He has since mentored many. Solomon, an engineer by profession, is a Managing Director of Comac Ltd- a Construction Company based
Emmy Kiptugen
Emmy is a banker and has brought in valuable input in guiding policy
Kennedy Getange is a development consultant with several years experience providing institutional capacity development services to various public entities. Holder of a B.A. in Business, CPA and a Masters degree in public policy and management among other professional qualifications, he has worked for many years with various organisations engaged in development projects in Africa. His area of expertise in providing institutional capacity development is an asset to Edumed.
Executive Board Members
1. Caroline Oyugi- has been in the field of education at various levels for the last 21 years. Currently a lecturer of French and Diplomacy at the University of Nairobi, Caroline, is the Chair of the Executive Board. Her expertise in education sector has been instrumental in the vision and mission of Edumed.
2. Agostino Madiavale-Procurement management expert with over 12 years’ experience. This includes procurement service delivery, procurement capacity assessments, reviews and capacity building. He also has considerable experience in the preparation and development of training opportunities, training delivery and management consultancy where he has supervised various consultancy assignments.

Administration
We have one full time staff, the Trust Coordinator- Elizabeth Waichinga while an Accountant and logistics officer volunteer their services.

Edumed has great board members. Their incomparable energy and compassion, sacrifice of time and their resources to plan, strategize and actualize our activities cannot be taken for granted. We thank God that He has granted us such a team to enable us meet the urgent and growing needs of Edumed.
Retired Board Members
Rev. Martin Mbandu.
Rev. Mbandu retired as Edumed Board of Trustee's Chairman in December 2009 after a long fruitful service to the Trust. We were blessed to have him and continue to be enouraged by his dedication for many years. The many times he traveled, many miles (from Kisumu) to attend Edumed meetings and other activities in Nairobi, will forever be appreciated. Rev Martin left us to pursue mission work in Malawi and we wish him all the best in his endeavors and family life.
Mr. Boniface Musembi, a lawyer and currently a Partner of B.M. Mutie & Co. Advocates. Mr. Musembi served Edumed for many years, mainly instrumental in giving legal advice to theTrust. He has been very resourceful in planning and implementing various activities.
Jean Ojiambo (Mrs)
Jean retired from the Board of Trustees in December 2009 after a truly dedicated service. Jean joined and supported Edumed when it was just an idea. We wish her all the best in her endeavours and family life.
Jane Gitao, North & South Travel agency, retired from the board in 2011 after a fruitful service. Jane continues supporting the trust as a dedicated partner.
